How much does epoxy grouting cost in Singapore?

CLEANGROUT publishes the full tariff: $10 per m2 of surface + $4 per metre of perimeter + a per-metre joint rate ($5.04-$14.74 depending on condition and floor/wall). That work value is lifted to the $380 minimum job if it falls short, and the $150 mobilisation is then added on top unless the work value passes $900, where it is waived. The smallest job priced from the tariff is therefore $530. Fixed packages are set below the tariff as a discount: single bathroom $488, kitchen $588, kitchen + two bathrooms $1,488. No GST is charged — CLEANGROUT is not GST-registered.

Is epoxy grout better than cement grout?

Epoxy grout is a cured thermoset: non-porous, 0% water absorption, nothing for mould to feed on. Compared per year of service, cement grout costs about $110/year (redone every 3 years) while epoxy costs about $47/year over a 15-year life - cheaper despite the higher one-off price.

How long does epoxy re-grouting take?

A single bathroom or kitchen is done in one day: rake out old grout to depth, clean, apply two-part epoxy (Ardex, Sika or Mapei), cure overnight. Walk on it the next morning.

How long before I can walk on or shower over new epoxy grout?

Walk on it after 24 hours, showers and water after 4 days, full chemical cure in about 7 days. In a new BTO before move-in the 4-day water wait costs nothing - one more reason joints-still-open is the cheapest moment to do this.

Do I pay a deposit for epoxy grouting?

A 50% deposit confirms the booking and reserves the date; the balance is due on completion after a joint walkthrough with the photo record of every joint.

Is there a discount for neighbours grouting together?

Yes - the block rate. When two or more units in the same block book works within the same fortnight, every unit pays less: 2 units get 5% off each, 3 or more get 8% off each, on top of the published tariff or any package. Best single discount applies.

Is Mapei Flexcolor CQ the same as Kerapoxy CQ?

No - despite the shared CQ name they are different products. Flexcolor CQ is Mapei's ready-mixed single-part grout from a tub - not an epoxy. Kerapoxy CQ is the true two-part epoxy, mixed on site in small batches against the pot life with joints cleaned and de-hazed before it sets. CLEANGROUT applies Mapei Kerapoxy or equivalent two-part epoxy from Ardex or Sika, never ready-mixed grout.

What warranty comes with epoxy grouting?

A 5-year written warranty on every epoxy job, any size - most of the trade offers 2 years. Surfaces grouted in Ultracolor Plus (cementitious) carry 2 years, silicone 1 year. It covers cracking, discolouration and mould growth in the treated joints, backed by dated photos and batch numbers issued with every job.

1. Which product exactly — brand and name, not just "epoxy"? Real epoxy is two or three parts mixed on site (ours: Mapei Kerapoxy, Ardex, Sika). Ready-mixed grout from a tub — including Mapei Flexcolor CQ, often confused with Kerapoxy CQ — is not an epoxy. 2. How deep is the old grout removed, and will you photograph it? At least two-thirds of joint depth; we photograph every joint. 3. How long is the warranty? Most of the trade offers 2 years; CLEANGROUT offers 5, written, any job size.
